The agent's obligations.

Selling a home involves more than viewings and bidding. Under the Anti-Money Laundering Act and the Estate Agents Act, your agent has an extensive responsibility to ensure that every transaction is carried out correctly and in accordance with applicable regulations.

This means, among other things, that the agent is obliged to verify the identity of all parties, carry out an individual risk assessment, understand how the purchase is financed, and document the measures taken. All documentation must be retained for at least five years and may be reviewed by the Swedish Estate Agents Inspectorate (FMI).

This is not about suspicion against you as a buyer. It is an obligation that applies in every individual transaction, regardless of circumstances, and a sign that your home transaction is being handled professionally.
